FRIDAY
Welcome to Oregon Wine Country! The views are stunning, the people are friendly, and the wine and food are world-class! Once you're settled into your City or Wine Country accommodations we'll meet at the winery for a welcome reception, winery tour, and casual dinner. Dana & Nick will share the story of how they became Oregon winemakers and French wine importers.
SATURDAY
We'll start the day with a stroll through historic downtown Hillsboro's Farmers Market, enjoying the open air market filled with local artisans and seasonal produce. Then we'll head to Blizzard Ridge for a hike through the forest and creek side, taking in the views of this new vineyard site. We'll have lunch at our favorite local gem, including wine pairing and then head to your accommodations to relax and get ready for the evening's Winemaker Dinner, featuring foraged foods paired with our top wines and imported Champagnes.
SUNDAY
Sleep in and enjoy a leisurely start to your day before you arrive at the winery for a Champagne Brunch and Tasting Class featuring 'Dosage in Champagne'. After a farewell toast you'll be escorted to your departure location while you reflect on the highlights of your well deserved weekend get-a-way.
Wine Country Rooms
Your daily adventures will begin from the decks of this award-winning mountain top B&B located just 15 minutes from Blizzard Wines. As your home base for the weekend, the team at Chehalem Ridge B&B will make sure your stay in the Queen-size rooms is relaxing and comfortable. Chef & proprietor, Kristin, will start your day off right with one-of-a-kind gourmet breakfasts, using only the best homemade and local ingredients. Wine Country Rooms are queen size beds and included for the weekend total price of $1095*/per person based on double occupancy. *early bird pricing expires Dec 31, 2024.
City Rooms
The Orenco Hotel is a small, 10-room boutique hotel nestled in the bustling community of Orenco Station, a planned urban residential town center just 15 minutes from Blizzard Wines. Guests love the cozy Brownstone architecture, the inviting décor of the King suites, and the numerous restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, including a local bakery where you will enjoy daily breakfast with a voucher from your stay. City Rooms are king size beds and included for the weekend total price of $995*/per person based on double occupancy. *early bird pricing ends Dec 31, 2024.
Your Hosts: Nick & Dana Blizzard
After completing winemaking school in 2010, Dana knew her passion for expressive, nuanced wines meant she would start her own label. With fruit from her parents historic estate vineyard and connections to the best Columbia Valley fruit she started her first vintage with just 10 barrels. From there she began traveling to France to study wine, making connections and friendships with Champagne Growers who she now loves importing and sharing with Club members and customers alike. She is thrilled to be working on their new project, planting Blizzard Ridge to create Oregon's preeminent sparkling wines.
Before starting the winery with wife Dana, Nick worked in the agency world developing interactive experiences for big companies such as AT&T, Nike and Intel. His true passion is creating immersive experiences people will remember for a lifetime. He is a man of many skills as he designed and built the winery and is now developing Blizzard Ridge into Oregon's premier sparkling wine vineyard.
With a passion for excellence in hospitality and wine education, Elissa brings professionalism and wine expertise to her role as Director of Hospitality and Sales at Blizzard Wines. Her leadership, organization and dedication to making memorable connections have consistently elevated both guest experiences and Club member relationships. She and her team are here to make your stay in Oregon easy and seamless.
A passionate and innovative assistant winemaker dedicated to crafting exceptional wines that reflect the unique character of their origins, with respect for the art and science behind the process. Desmond has become an integral part of the Blizzard Wines team, working closely with head winemaker, Dana Blizzard, his commitment to quality and creativity ensures that each bottle tells a story of excellence and authenticity, contributing to our legacy of outstanding wines.
Kris brings her expertise and enthusiasm for wine to her role as Tasting Hall Lead. With a WSET Level 2 certification and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, Kristin combines in-depth wine knowledge with exceptional hospitality skills. She leads the Tasting Hall team in delivering engaging and educational tastings, ensuring that every visitor feels welcome and gains a deeper appreciation for our wines and the craft behind them.
Kim bringing a wealth of wine knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality to her role. With a WSET Level 2 certification, Kim expertly guides guests through their wine-tasting journeys, offering insights that enhance their knowledge of wine. Her approachable demeanor and attention to detail create a welcoming environment where every guest feels valued and informed.
Winery
Founded in 2011 and located just 45 minutes from Portland, at the base of Chehalem Mountain in the heart of wine-country. The winery sits atop the historic estate vineyard and is designed to take in the beautiful views while you relax and taste in total comfort. There are a number of different spaces available from the intimate Estate Room, to the grand Production Hall and relaxing patio, all perfectly perched above the vineyard allowing you to take in the fresh air and stunning vistas.
4x4 Sprinter Van
All transportation is included in your package. You'll be picked up from the airport in style and get to travel in a Mercedes 4x4 passenger van as we guide you through the country side showcasing our favorite local restaurants, markets and vineyard walks.
PDX Airport
When you arrive to Portland, you'll get to experience the brand new airport terminal including a stunning ceiling crafted from thousands of Oregon Douglas fir trees. You'll be picked up in style with private transport to your accommodations. The new airport is 45 min to an hour from either the City or Wine Country accommodations and a close connection to the land you'll discover over the weekend.

- Accommodations: 2-night stay at your choice of either Wine Country Room ($1095 per person pricing, queen size bed) or City Room ($995 per person pricing, king size bed)

- Transportation: Airport private group transfers to/from the airport. Once we receive your flight details, we’ll provide you with a schedule. Please note: Airport transfers are only available for scheduled flights and not for trip extensions.
- Excursions: Transportation from your hotel to winery, vineyard, and any planned outings listed in the itinerary.

- Deposit: A non-refundable $400 per room (1-2 guests) deposit is required to reserve your stay.
- Full Payment: Remaining balance due by April 1, 2025.
- Before April 1, 2025: Full refund less $400 deposit.
- After April 1, 2025: No refund (100% cancellation fee).
